Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her showbiz career as a child. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young when she was just 16. Her fame was due to her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. Another Oscar nominated movies featuring the female diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Through the years, Alexandra has worked in several significant international and local projects. The most notable of these include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French history mini-series Napoleon and many more. She was also part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
